Simple Gardening Tips for Your Garden

Anyone can fix their garden to look like a million bucks, and with these simple gardening tips, so can you.

Gardening is something that many people do around the world because it allows us to create and grow using nature itself. The perfect botanical arrangement of flowers, vegetables, and fruits can make any home look pristine. The best part is you don’t have to invest thousands of dollars to improve your garden, being a little thrifty can give your garden the boost it needs. Here are a few simple gardening tips for your garden to make it ravishing.

Remove Salt Deposits

Salt and other minerals are naturally found in our soil and when water evaporates it can leave a deposit of these salty minerals on clay pots and planters. To remove these deposits, combine equal parts of white vinegar, rubbing alcohol, and water, and scrub the pot with a toothbrush. Rinse the pot and let it dry before you put anything in there.

Acidify Your Soil

Not every plant does well in acidic soil, but those that do thrive in it. Flowers like azaleas, rhododendrons, camellias, gardenias and even blueberries love acidic soil. Use leftover tea and coffee grounds to acidify the soil.

Vegetable Soup

The next time you steam or boil vegetables, don’t pour the water down the sink.  Instead, use it to water your patio plants and garden. The nutrients from the vegetables that seeped into the water will do wonders for your plants.
