Come and shake your tail feathers at Turkey Trail Trot XI, San Francisco’s annual Thanksgiving Run & Walk, Thursday, November 28. Take your pick from the 600-calorie-burning, 5-mile Turkey Trot run or the 300-calorie-burning, 3-mile Pilgrim Promenade walk both of which start at 8:30 a.m. at Golden Gate Park’s Polo Field. There’s even an 8-calorie-burning, 100 meter Gobbler Chase for kids starting at 8:00 a.m.!
The cross-country style course covers mostly flat natural terrain over grassy meadows and dirt pathways and trails. What better way to start the holiday than with an invigorating run or walk in the park before the parades, feasting, and football games kick-off? You could even take home a Schubert’s Bakery Pumpkin or Apple Pie, Sports Basement Gift Certificate, and a bottle of wine if you’re among the top three overall male or female finishers, and each first place winner will also bring home the turkey (much better than bringing home the bacon any day!). There are also scores of age division awards and raffle prizes to be had!
The event is limited to the first 1400 participants, so gobble up a spot today, and for all of your Bay Area insurance needs, contact Lou Aggetta Insurance.
